These thin handmade stars are created by rolling porcelain on a slab roller. Once the slab is prepared and smoothed a starburst texture is added. Each star is then cut out and finished. This star is glazed glossy clear and then once glazed fired has been hand painted with real mother of pearl luster and fired a third time. The backs are unglazed porcelain. They come strung on a ribbon ready to hang.
