Bat Jack
Bat Jack
$600.00
This is a one-of-a-kind art sculpture jack-o-lantern.
This jack is wheel thrown as a trapped air form in porcelain. The face is hand carved and detailed. The wings are slab rolled and hand-built with attention to detail to create texture and veining on the insides. The wings are hinged and move open and closed with handmade wooden and clay hinge pins. The exterior back of this jack has been deeply carved with 3 bats that glow when the jack is lit. This jack is glazed in a flat black engobe with purples and in the wings and ears.
15”L x 5”D x 5”H - wings open
5”W x 6”D x 5”H - Wings folded
Your jack-o-lanterns should be kept away from extreme heat or cold to avoid thermal shock. Flameless battery operated tea lights or votives are recommended.
