JACK Cousteau
JACK Cousteau
This is a one-of-a-kind art sculpture jack-o-lantern. Beautiful translucent porcelain with hand carved, sprigged and sculpted additions.
This jack is wheel thrown as a trapped air form in porcelain. It was then carved and textured by hand with ocean waves. Then various sea creatures, corals, seaweed, and other sea life are added by hand using sprigging, freehand sculpting, and slip trailing. Jack Cousteau has an octopus under the lid for a fun surprise. It is glazed in colorful underglazes and glazes and the ocean background is spray glaze and gradated from a light blue to a darker blue gloss.
6”Lx 6”w x 7.5”H
Your jack-o-lanterns should be kept away from extreme heat or cold to avoid thermal shock. Flameless battery operated tea lights or votives are recommended.
